Starting Backup

1. Go to 'My Backup'
2. Press Start Backup
3. Confirm where Backup will be stored-then 'OK' to start
Backup Schedule
A backup schedule defines the frequency and the time backup will run automatically.
1. Choose Backup Schedule in Backup client menu
2. Customise your Backup Schedule
3. For each type of schedule above, backup will run at scheduled time for a maximum of the duration specified
Creating a new Backup set

1. From the Menu, Choose [Backup Set] -> [New] -> [File Backup Set]
2. Enter a name for your backup set
3. Select the files/directories you want to backup
4. Set the backup schedule (Note: You can have more than one schedule in a backup set)
5. Set your encryption key - you could use your defalut password, or choose another password.
Encryption
Before your files are sent to Offsite Backup Server, all your files are to be compressed and encrypted

Note :
Encryption settings are set at backup set creation time and cannot be modified. You need to create a new backup set if you want to change your encryption settings for a backup set.

Above is an example of how your information is encrypted. Without the encryption key it is impossible to decipher the the data.
Local Copy
If you want to save an extra copy of backup data on your local disk (in addition to a copy of backup data stored on the backup server) to minimize file-restoring time and/or to provide an extra safety precaution

Go to Local Copy in your backup software menu
1. Check the [Copy to Local Hard Disk] checkbox
2. Enter a directory to where you want an extra copy of your Backup files to be stored [Copy to]
3. Optional) Select the [Yes] radio button if you want to store your backup files in compressed form to conserve free space usage
An extra copy of backup will be saved in the [Copy to] directory when you run your backup job
How to restore “Local Copy” files

1. Choose [Tools] -> [Unzip Local Copy]
2. Select the required [Backup Set] from the drop down list
3. Fill in the [Source Directory] (directory where “Local Copy” files are stored) and [Destination Directory] (directory to where you want “Local Copy” files to be restored)

Retention Policy

During backup, if OBM finds out that you have deleted a file (or updated a file) on your computer, it will put the corresponding deleted (or updated) file already backed up on the backup server into a retention area. The retention policy setting defines how long files inside the retention area will be kept on the backup server before they are deleted automatically from the server.
Backup Failure

You would have received a failiure notice by email
1. Go into 'Log' and choose the relevent date of Backup
2. Scroll down and you will see a red cross and "Quota Exceeded" please call us for more info
Restoring Files

1. Select date from drop down menu
2. Tick files that need restoring
3. Choose location.
4. Press 'Start' to restore
Online Client section
Forgotton Password

1. If you have forgotten your password, you can retrieve it by simply entering your login name or your registered email address on the [Password Request] form and press the [Request] button. Your password will be sent to your registered email address automatically.
Review Backup Jobs

In addition to reviewing your backup activities from the email report and from OBM, you can also review any of your backup jobs by using the [Report] panel available on the web interface. To review a backup job, just select the required backup job from the [Backup Set] and [Backup Job] drop down list.
File compression

You can check the size of the file after it has been compressed. Go to File Explorer, check on a Directory it will show you the size of the file and the size it was zipped.
Restoring Files Online

Go to File Explorer, you will see a similar set up to your backup system
1. Choose the relevent date of Backup that needs restoring
2. Tick files that needs restoring - press 'Restore'

Press the [Restore] button
